 Travel Fees

I will travel up to any location within the State of Ohio to officiate ceremonies. However time and/or mileage rates will apply

Travel Within 100 miles of Chillicothe

The first 15 minutes each way are included in your ceremony and rehearsal fees. After that, you incur a travel fee of $10.00 for each additional 15-minute increment of travel time each way ($40/hour).

**see appendix below

Please note: The Travel Fee is on a “per day” basis. If you have a rehearsal you will be charged a traveling fee for rehearsal day as well as a traveling fee for the wedding day. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask me.

Example: A wedding at Whetstone Park of Roses in Columbus

·  Whetstone Park of Roses is approximately 45 minutes from my home

·  Rehearsal Day:

  • 45 minutes + 45 minutes = 90 minutes (round trip)

  • Less 30 free minutes (15 each way) = 60 minutes

  • 60 minutes / 15 minutes = 4 increments of 15 minutes

  • 4 x $10.00 (fee for each 15-minute increment) = $40.00

  • $50.00 Rehearsal Day Fee

·  Wedding Day:

  • Same calculation as above

  • $50.00 Simple Wedding Day Fee

·  Total Travel Fees: (Rehearsal + Wedding) =    $90.00

  • Simple Wedding + Rehearsal Fees          =   $100.00

  •     Total Wedding/Rehearsal/Travel Fees    $190.00

Travel Over 100 miles from Chillicothe OH

The first 25 miles each trip (to location and return) will be included.  Above 25 miles, mileage will be added at .55 cents per mile.

Example:

Location is 110 miles from Chillicothe.

   110 x 2 (round trip) = 220 miles

  25 x 2 = 50 free miles

  220 - 50 = 170 miles x .55 = 93.50 mileage fee

Same rate applies to Rehearsal/Rehearsal Dinner.

If an overnight stay is required due to a late ceremony, lodging will be need to be provided.  Reservations will need to be made in advance and the information provided to Sacred Unions at least 2 days before the Rehearsal and/or Wedding.

Holidays

An additional fee of $50 will be added when booking weddings and rehearsals that fall on the following holidays: New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day

Timing of Payment:

The non-refundable deposit and signed contract are required to reserve your date and time. Balance is due 1 week prior to wedding date. If payment is not received 1 week before wedding, only cash will be accepted before rehearsal begins. Please note: If final cash payment is not received prior to the beginning of the rehearsal, I am not obligated to perform your wedding.

Methods of Payment:

I accept online payments via PayPal, cash, credit or debit card in person.

Overtime/Late Charges:

I schedule 1 hour for the rehearsal and 1 hour for the ceremony. For weddings and rehearsals that do not start on time, a fee of $25 per each additional 15 minutes beyond the allotted hour will be charged provided my schedule allows me to remain past the allotted time frame. Often, however, I must get to another wedding or rehearsal immediately. You expect the same timeliness, courtesy and dependability from me as others do. Having your wedding party and family ready to start on time will make everyone happy and save you money. I recommend asking them to arrive 15 minutes prior to the time the rehearsal is scheduled.

Serving any alcoholic beverages prior to the rehearsal or wedding is strongly discouraged, as this can create delays in completing the rehearsal and can cause embarrassment during the wedding ceremony. You have put so much time, energy and finances into planning the perfect ceremony—please don’t let something like this spoil your day. You will have plenty of time to party afterward. I reserve the right not to conduct a ceremony or rehearsal if any of the wedding party appears to me to be intoxicated or high.

Non-payment of Services:

For non-payment of services by the time services are rendered, your marriage license will be held unsigned until all fees have been paid in full. The marriage license becomes null and void 15 days after the wedding date if not signed and recorded within that time. Payment is appreciated for all services 2 weeks before the date of the wedding to avoid any delay in processing your marriage license.

Appendix

If Officiant encounters travel time in excess of the estimate you are given due to road bloackages, closures, accidents, checkpoints or any other factor not the fault of the Officiant, the excess time will be added to the original Invoice and must be paid prior to the commencement of the ceremony.
